From July 1, 2025, Dorothée Delabie and Franck Laizet will bring their more than twenty years of experience, their commitment to dance education, and their extensive artistic network to the Ballet Junior de Genève.

Beth Krasna, President of the Committees of the École de Danse de Genève (EDG) and the Ballet Junior de Genève (BJG), is delighted with the appointment of Dorothée Delabie and Franck Laizet: "We are thrilled to have found the perfect successors for the future leadership of the École de Danse de Genève and the Ballet Junior (...). We are convinced that this duo will make our institution shine in the art world of tomorrow."


As dancers with the Opéra National de Lyon ballet company, Dorothée Delabie and Franck Laizet have worked with some of the greatest choreographers, including William Forsythe, Maguy Marin, Lucinda Childs, Jérôme Bel, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Jiri Kylian, and Mats Ek. In recent years, Franck Laizet founded the Cité Chorégraphique, a training center for young dancers, while Dorothée Delabie expanded her skills in cultural management at Science Po Lyon. She was also ballet mistress and teacher at the Jeune Ballet des Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon.


“We are honored to be able to continue the history of the École de Danse de Genève and the Ballet Junior, and thus to continue the admirable work of Sean Wood and Patrice Delay over the past 26 years,” explain Dorothée Delabie and Franck Laizet. They are delighted to be taking over: “In true continuity, but with their own vision, extensive professional network and new projects, Dorothée Delabie and Franck Laizet will lead the École de Danse de Genève and Ballet Junior.
