Régina Zwahlen will be the new Director of Béjart Ballet Lausanne, effective January 1, 2026. She brings over 30 years of experience in the cultural sector and a deep familiarity with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne.

She joined Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 1995, the same year that Julien Favreau, now the company’s Artistic Director, entered the Rudra Béjart School as a young dancer. At Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Zwahlen initially served as accountant, later as administrative and financial director. She subsequently gained further experience with various cultural institutions before returning to BBL to take up her new leadership role.

“I have accepted the position of Director of Béjart Ballet Lausanne with great enthusiasm,” said Régina Zwahlen. “I am convinced that my experience will be an asset in fulfilling my mission. I look forward to supporting Julien Favreau at the head of this renowned institution and feel honored to contribute to the continued success of Maurice Béjart’s legacy. My sincere thanks go to the Board of Trustees of Béjart Ballet Lausanne, the City of Lausanne, and the entire company for their trust. I look forward to this new challenge.”
