CALL FOR APPLICATIONS DANCE & SCHOOL - CHOREOLAB

Dienstag 20.02.24
From: Reso

What approaches do choreographers and educators use in choreographies for young audiences and dance education projects at and with schools? What are tried and tested approaches and practices? Which competences are essential for projects with schools? As part of the Dance & School project from Reso, a practical choreolab will be realised. It offers space for in-depth study of choreographic works for a young audience, alternating on the fly with dance education for the school context.

Reso is looking for choreographers, dance mediators and dancers to bring in short excerpts from their own projects and try them out together during an intensive week of work. Project excerpts from the other participants will be further developed and honed. Three choreographers, three dance mediators and seven dancers can take part in the Choreolab. There will be space to exchange ideas and familiarise themselves with different approaches and styles, and concrete results will be developed together in the form of video tutorials for teachers and school classes. These tutorials are part of an emerging toolbox for the dance & school sector, which Reso is constantly expanding with the Dance & School working group. The Choreolab will take place from 15 - 19 July 2024 at the → tanz+ residence centre in Baden. Board, lodging if required and travel expenses within Switzerland will be covered and a salary will be paid. Application deadline is 17.4.2024.
