Calls for Applications
There are currently several open calls supporting young talents in dance and the performing arts.
Premio Schweiz
Premio Schweiz is a young talent award in the performing arts (theatre, dance, cabaret), supported by the Migros Culture Percentage. The competition is open to Swiss ensembles, individual artists, and artists working in Switzerland of any age, and supports innovative projects that have not yet been publicly presented. Participants may not have more than three professional productions. Eight projects will be selected and will receive financial support (up to CHF 25,000) as well as visibility in Swiss theatres and festivals. Presentations are scheduled for 2026 in several Swiss cities, including Zurich and Basel.

Prix de Lausanne 2026
The Prix de Lausanne, the renowned international competition for young dancers, will take place for the 54th time from February 1–8, 2026, at the Beaulieu Theatre in Lausanne.

DoubleInterdisciplinary projects
The Migros Culture Percentage's DoubleInterdisciplinary projects funding project is a year-long coaching program for mentees with projects in the fields of theater, cabaret, dance, classical music, jazz, film, art, and literature. It brings together experienced experts with younger colleagues. Priority is given to projects that combine different disciplines. Ten working meetings are planned. Mentees will receive a grant of 3000 CHF.
The call for applications for DoubleDance, which is aimed specifically at dancers, choreographers, and dramaturgs, will start in winter 2025/26.

Kompliz:innenschaft 2026–28
Tanzhaus Zürich is accepting applications for the Kompliz:innen (Partners-in Residence) cooperation model. It is aimed at eight to ten artists or collectives working in dance who have a strong connection to Zurich. The program, running from 2026 to 2028, offers time for research, residencies, public sharings, opportunities to develop new formats, and support for a large-scale stage production. The goal is to foster sustainable paths and lasting relationships between artists, audiences, and institutions.

Mixed Pickles #15
Mixed Pickles #15, organized by Theater Roxy in Birsfelden near Basel, is a call for young dancers, choreographers, and emerging performers under 35. Proposals can be submitted for short choreographies or performances (max. 15 minutes), with dramaturgical and technical support provided for development and presentation. Selected works will be performed in March 2026 at Theater Roxy.

LOOPS #2
The AVDC launches the second round of LOOPS, a joint development program for artists in dance, performance, and the performing arts. Between February and March 2026, participants will work in groups on current or early-stage projects in Lausanne, Nyon, and Vevey, with mutual feedback, experiments, and contributions from guest artists in various fields. Up to ten participants will be selected. They will receive a daily allowance of CHF 70 and reimbursement of travel costs.
