Festival Zirqus 2025
From September 3 to 7, the Zirqus Festival will showcase the diversity of contemporary circus art in Zurich's Zirkusquartier. Audiences are invited to attend performances, participate in workshops, and explore new experiences through both viewing and hands-on activities.
The program features aerial acrobatics, dance, and theater on stage and in the open air. The work “Pasterne” by Collectif TBTF (Too Busy To Funk), for example, moves at the intersection of dance and acrobatics and explores the complexity of trusting in wordless communication.
Most of the festival's offerings are non-verbal and are aimed at children and families as well as adult circus enthusiasts, whether amateurs or professionals. Workshops and open training sessions provide a playful introduction to acrobatics and offer opportunities for targeted development. The venue is wheelchair accessible and prices are flexible.
