From graduation to retirement, a dancer’s life is closely linked to the body’s ongoing transformations. At various stages, major and decisive questions arise: Where should one study? How does one begin a career in such a competitive art form? Until what age can one continue to dance? How can parenthood and a dance career be balanced?

These essential questions — relevant to all dancers — are discussed through personal accounts from professionals in the field.
