SWISS DANCE DAYS 2026
The Swiss Dance Days are returning in 2026 with a new edition full of energy, vision and aesthetic diversity. Choreographers and dance companies can submit their projects until the end of July 2025.
The 13th edition of Swiss Dance Days will take place in Bern from February 11 to 14, 2026. It is the most important biennial platform for contemporary dance in Switzerland. The event is a must for anyone who wants to discover the best of contemporary Swiss dance.
The Swiss Dance Days are organized by Reso – Dance Network Switzerland in collaboration with partner institutions in Bern and present 12 to 15 selected pieces from choreographies created between August 2023 and July 2025. The selection will be made by a national jury of five, consisting of Pascale “Baba” Altenburger (Zurich), Lorenzo Conti (Lugano), Marie-Caroline Hominal (Geneva), Jean-Yves Aeby (Lausanne) and Stephanie Zünd (St. Gallen). The jury will consider the current relevance and artistic quality of the pieces, their potential for international distribution, and their aesthetic, generational and regional diversity.
The Swiss Dance Days offer an opportunity for professional exchange and networking among dance professionals, but also builds bridges between artists, programmers and audiences, and, last but not least, serves as an international showcase for Swiss dance professionals. All choreographers and dance companies based or predominantly active in Switzerland are invited to enter their projects and their tour dates. Eligible for selection are dance pieces that can be toured – including pieces for young audiences – that premiered or will premiere between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2025. The deadline for entries is July 31, 2025.
