The interdisciplinary symposium is aimed at specialists in sports medicine, orthopedics, physiotherapy, general medicine, and osteopathy as well as dancers and all interested parties. Conservative and surgical treatments of injuries in dancers as well as preventative measures will be discussed in theoretical sessions and practical workshops. The day will be rounded off with a demonstration.

The ASSAL Centre focuses on injuries to the foot, ankle and leg. A variety of pathologies are treated by a multidisciplinary medical team consisting of orthopedic surgeons, three sports medicine specialists, a nursing team, podiatrists and a physiotherapist. Although the center is not specialized in the field of dance, it has the ability to effectively treat such athletes with foot, ankle or leg pathologies.
