The Federal Council’s package “Stabilisation and Further Development of Switzerland–EU Relations” is welcomed in principle by the Taskforce Culture. However, it criticises the exclusion of “Creative Europe”.

In its statement on “Bilateral Agreements III” of 9 October 2025, the Taskforce Culture supports Switzerland’s renewed eligibility to participate in “Horizon Europe” and “Erasmus+”. Switzerland relies on international exchange in education, business and science.

It also stresses that cross-border relationships are essential for culture: “Culture is, by its very nature, transnational. Exchange, encounter and dialogue do not stop at national borders” (Cultural Message 2025–2028). It is incomprehensible to the Taskforce Culture that “Creative Europe” is not included in the package — especially since the EU has expressed readiness to enable Swiss participation.

The Taskforce Culture calls for Switzerland’s participation in “Creative Europe”, which is essential for arts professionals in Switzerland. Danse Suisse, as a member of the Taskforce Culture, supports this demand.
