Tools from Reso

From: Danse Suisse

The three new tools from Reso are designed to make collaboration between artists, companies, and cultural institutions more transparent, fair, and professional. They were developed between 2021 and 2024 within the PAM program and cover the areas of working conditions, co-production, and distribution. The tools will be presented and discussed in both in-person and online workshops.

Since 2021, the Performing Arts Manager (PAM) program by Reso – Dance Network Switzerland has supported professionals working in dance and theater production and dissemination. The resulting “Tools de Suisse” compile insights gained from expert exchanges and serve as valuable resources for a more mindful, accessible, and sustainable professional culture in Switzerland’s performing arts field, improving cooperation among artists, companies, and cultural institutions. The following three tools are now available:

  • Personal Rider – A document to clearly define working conditions, personal needs, and mutual expectations. It helps artists and presenters build more balanced professional relationships. Available in German, French, and Italian.
  • Coproduction Meeting Protocol – A guide for structuring co-production meetings, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and shared objectives to ensure smoother collaboration between project partners. Available in German, French, and Italian.
  • Distribution Handbook – A practical guide to distributing works, offering advice and tips to strengthen visibility, communication, and collaboration networks. Available in English.

The three existing tools will be presented live and online by Reso. Information on the fourth tool, Production Compass, will follow in December 2025.
