From artistic–pedagogical training for children to radical inclusion in the performing arts — HSLU and HKB are launching new degree programmes. The Bachelor “Music and Movement” and the CAS “Performing Arts and Inclusion”, developed together with the Accademia Dimitri (SUPSI), provide two paths for shaping the future of dance and movement in dynamic, accessible ways.
“Les Quarts d’Heure” is a must for young choreographers in the French-speaking region of Switzerland. From 26 to 29 November 2025, six choreographers or collectives will present their work — six artistic voices in motion, six unique worlds to discover. A rare chance for artists and audiences to immerse themselves in the richness of the region’s experimental scene.
The Federal Council’s package “Stabilisation and Further Development of Switzerland–EU Relations” is welcomed in principle by the Taskforce Culture. However, it criticises the exclusion of “Creative Europe”.
“Next Steps” enables choreography talents based in Switzerland to undertake long-term collaboration with an institutional dance ensemble. Over three years, Steps, Bern Ballett and St.Gallen Dance Company will accompany two artists in their creative process and support them in realising their choreographic vision with the companies’ dancers.
From 16 to 19 October 2025, the second international aDvANCE conference took place at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Fifty educators, artists and leaders from 34 international dance training institutions discussed contemporary teaching concepts, inclusion and future perspectives in dance education under the motto “Share. Discuss. Connect." The results form the foundation for the ongoing development of an environment that is healthy, inclusive and inspiring.
Reso – Dance Network Switzerland has announced the 2026 programme. The biennial event is a key showcase for the creativity and international visibility of Swiss dance artists.
